How To Make Shahi Paneer without onion and garlic. first of all chop paneer into pieces , no need to fry or saute in paneer in oil or ghee. now heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and the whole spices in the oil. when spices start to crackle then add the grated bottle gourd and saute for a minute. now cover the pan with a lid and let the gourd soften a bit. The original shahi paneer is from Mughalai cuisine. It has a white gravy made from onion and yogurt. Full of nuts saffron and aromatic spices.

Instructions to make Shahi paneer:
  1. Dry roast laung,dalchini, and coriander seeds and churn to a coarse powder.
  2. Saute onions in oil till pink. Grind them to a paste. Churn tomatoes and cashews to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil again. Add coarse powder,star anise,tejpatta,onion with ginger -garlic paste.
  4. Put red chili powder and cook fr 3 mins on sim till you get a nice color. Add tomatoes and salt now. Cook till oil leaves the sides.
  5. Lastly, add kasoori methi with paneer. Serve hot with nan or roti!
