Instructions to make Shahi paneer:
- In a pan, add 1 tbsp butter,2 clove,1 cinnamon,1 cardamom,bay leaves, 1 sliced onion, 2 tomato, 1 inch ginger, 4 garlic pods and saute for 10 mins.
- Soak the cashews in hot water for 10 mins. Add it to the onion mixture,cook for 2 mins. Cool down completely and grind it to smooth paste.
- In a wide pan, add 2 tbsp of butter/ghee, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1 clove,1 cinnamon, ground paste and saute until oil separates.
- Add all the masala powder, salt,little water and mix well. Cut the paneer pieces into small cubes and put it into the gravy. Close the lid and cook for 5-8 mins.
- Add cream and cook for 2 mins. Once the gravy thickens, Add crushed kasuri Methi,ground nut meg powder,saffron strands and switch off the flame.
- Now the most delicious creamy Shahi paneer is ready to be served with Butter naan or parota ππ
