  1. Take 200 gm paneer
  2. Make ready 2 onions chopped
  3. Prepare 5-6 peeled n chopped garlic
  4. Take 3 tomatoes
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp butter
  6. Get 1 tsp kasuri methi(dry fenugreek leaves powder)
  7. Get 2 tsp coriander powder
  8. Prepare 1 tsp red Kashmiri chilly powder
  9. Get 1/4 tsp Jeera (cumin)
  10. Take 1-2 whole black peppercorns
  11. Prepare 1-2 cloves
  12. Make ready stick Cinnamon
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  14. Get 1 tbsp melon seeds(magaz) optional
  15. Make ready to taste Salt
  16. Make ready 1/4 cup water
  17. Get 10-15 cashews

How To Make Shahi Paneer without onion and garlic. first of all chop paneer into pieces , no need to fry or saute in paneer in oil or ghee. now heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and the whole spices in the oil. when spices start to crackle then add the grated bottle gourd and saute for a minute. now cover the pan with a lid and let the gourd soften a bit. The original shahi paneer is from Mughalai cuisine. It has a white gravy made from onion and yogurt. Full of nuts saffron and aromatic spices.

Instructions to make Shahi paneer:
  1. Heat a pan. Add oil to it. Heat it. Now add cumin, peppercorns,cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, chopped onion, garlic, ginger, cashews and melon seeds.
  2. Now add chopped tomatoes to it. Add turmeric, coriander powder, salt,red chili powder. Mix and cover the lid, let it cook. Now add water to it. Cover n cook till tomatoes are fully cooked.
  3. Cool it and grind it to a fine paste. After grinding strain the masala with a sieve/ strainer. Take oil and butter in a pan. Add slit green chilly and grated or chopped ginger to it.
  4. Add paneer to it. Fry from all sides till it gets nice color. Once paneer is little brown in color, add strained masala gravy to it. Mix and cook for few minutes. Add kasuri methi to it stir properly. Cook for 2-5 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves to it. Sahi paneer is ready. Can be served with paratha or rice.
