The ingredients needed to make Makhana kheer:
  1. Take 3 litter milk
  2. Get 100 gm phool makhana
  3. Take Sugar as per taste
  4. Take 2-3 tspn melon seeds
  5. Take 1 tbspn grated coconut

You can serve makhane ki kheer warm or chilled. To serve chilled, let the kheer come to room temperature and then chill into the refrigerator for a few hours and then serve. Steps to make Makhana kheer:
  1. Dry roast the phool makhana or microwave it for 2 minutes.. Cut them in 2-3 pieces and keep aside..
  2. Take a heavy bottom pan pour milk and stir it continuously till it boils and phool makhana and mix them nicely..
  3. Now let it boil on middium lower flame and stir occasionally for 20 minutes.. Make sure it doesn't stick at the bottom..
  4. Dry roast the melon seeds when it starts crackling switch off the flame and add them in the milk and mix..
  5. Let it cook for more 15-20 minutes.. Once it started becoming thick add coconut powder mix well.. Now after 15-20 minutes add sugar mix it well and switch off the flame..
  6. Our very tempting yummy Makhana kheer is ready to serve.. Enjoy hot or after cooling to room temperature keep in fridge and enjoy cold..
