Steps to make Sabudana Kheer for Vrat:
- Heat a pan, add a tsp of ghee. Take dry fruits of your choice and saute it in the ghee for a minute or two.
- Do not burn. Once done remove and keep aside in a plate to cool.
- In the same pan, add overnight soaked sabudana/ Sago. Saute it for few minutes until it absorbs ghee.
- Once it becomes translucent add milk and bring it to a boil.
- Once the milk comes to a boil add sugar and cook for 5-6 minutes till the sugar dissolves into it.
- Add 1/4 cup Mawa and dissolve it completely. Mix well and cook for another few minutes.
- When the khoya is combined add a tsp of elaichi powder and roasted dry fruits and mix well.
- Lastly add some grated Jaiphal on top to enhance flavour(optional).
