  4. Cook it for 1-2 minutes and then add total 2 cups of milk.
  5. Let the kheer cook for 15-20 mins until vermicelli is cooked.
  6. After 20 mins check the kheer.If it looks that it has dried then you can add more 1/2 cup -1 cup of milk
  7. Now add 1/2 cup sugar. Chop almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios and put them in the kheer.
  8. After adding sugar cook the kheer until it comes to a boil.
  9. You can taste kheer and subtract and add more sugar.
  10. Delicious kheer is ready. Garnish it with few strands of saffron (kesar) and raisins.
