Heat the oil in a large saucepan or frying pan. Once hot, fry the onion, cloves and cardamom pods for a few minutes until the onion begins to soften. Take a sharp knife and chop them into smaller pieces. You can also cut them 'tikka' style into large cubes.

  1. In a large mixing bowl marinate the chicken with 1/2 cup onion,garlic & ginger paste,salt,yogurt,2 tbsp oil and all the powder masala add and mix very well and keep aside atlist 2-3 hour.
