  9. Take Whole spices (4 cloves, 3 green cardamoms, 2 bay leaves, 5 to 6 black pepper corns, 1 inch piece cinnamon)

  11. Prepare cashewnuts soaked in warm water
  12. Get almonds soaked in warm water
  13. Take curds
  14. Take garam masala powder
  15. Prepare Salt
  16. Get Coriander leaves for garnishing

Heat the oil in a large saucepan or frying pan. Once hot, fry the onion, cloves and cardamom pods for a few minutes until the onion begins to soften. Take a sharp knife and chop them into smaller pieces. You can also cut them 'tikka' style into large cubes.

Steps to make Chicken Korma:
  1. Clean and wash the chicken & pat dry.
  2. In a bowl mix curd, cumin powder coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder mix it well & keep aside
  3. Grind the fried onions with curd,cashewnuts, almonds into a paste adding water if needed
  4. Heat a pan add oil & ghee. Add the whole spices fry for a few mins.
  5. Add the chicken pieces & fry till colour changes,add ginger garlic paste fry till the raw smell is gone
  6. Now add the mixture of curd, cumin powder, coriander powder & kashmiri chilli powder. Cook for 10 to 15 mins.
  7. Now add the fried onion, cashewnuts & almond paste. Add salt & garam masala powder. Fry the masala well. Then add little water for the gravy. Cook till the chicken is done. Garnish with coriander leaves.
