Navratan korma is an easy recipe because after you are done with making the paste. Then all you have to do is brown the onions with whole garam masala, add the paste, curd, veggies and let the korma simmer till the veggies are cooked. All in all this Shahi navratan korma is a dish to be thoroughly enjoyed on festive occasions like Diwali or Holi. Place the blended sauce back into the pan and add the vegetables, paneer and cashews.
Steps to make Navratan Korma:
- Take 6 Cashew nuts, 2 tsp poppy seeds, 4 almonds,1/2 charmagaj.Put 1 cup water and keep it for 1 hr.
- Make a smooth paste.
- Take 9 types of vegetables, chopped in dice size.And cut the paneer into cube size.
- Make a paste of 1 medium size tomato,chopped 4 pieces ginger and green chillies as per your choice.
- Take a pan,put 1-2 cup water and heat it.
- Now put the vegetables for 5-6 mins with little bit sugar.boil 90%.
- Fry the paneer lightly and 7 cashew nuts, 8 raisins in dark brown colour.
- Take a pan,heat oil.Put Cinnamon, clove, cardamom,bay leaves, black pepper.
- Add boiled vegetables,salt as per taste,1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp black pepper.
- Put tomato paste and cook for 5 mins.
- Put paneer cubes.
- Then add milk with it.
- Now add cashew paste and cover it for 10 mins.
- Now add 2 tbsp fresh cream and cover it for 2 mins.
- Then sprinkle some Kasori Methi,1 tsp ghee and garam masala.And cover it for 1 min.
- Serve it with Nun/Roti/Paratha etc.
