- Heat 3/4 cup of tap water in microwave. Pour into vinegar mixture and stir until sugar and salt dissolves.
- Pour this mixture over cucumbers. Tighten lid or cover. Shake a few times to distribute mixture. All cucumbers should be covered. Refrigerate for at least 1 day.
Make a brine by combining the water, vinegar, salt and honey and bringing them to a boil. Pack two clean glass pint jars with the cucumbers (it is not necessary to sterilize the jars for this recipe). Add one clove of garlic, one sprig of dill, and a pinch of red pepper flakes to each jar as you pack in the cucumbers. Add the dill, garlic, and pickling spice in your canning jar. Wash your quart-sized canning jars and set them on top of a towel or wooden surface.
