  1. Take 2 cups plain flour
  2. Prepare 1 teaspoon salt
  3. Prepare 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
  4. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon black sesame seeds
  5. Prepare 1/3 cup melted butter
  6. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  7. Take Approximately 1 cup of warm water
  8. Take Oil for frying

We will need are maida (all purpose flour), ghee, cumin seeds, coarsely ground black pepper and salt to taste. In a bowl take maida and add cumin seeds to the flour. Then add coarsely ground black pepper. Farhi Puri is crispy flat bread.

Steps to make Farsi puri:
  1. In a large bowl sieve the flour and add salt, cumin and black pepper. Make a well in the flour and add the melted butter. Add the warm water and make a dough. Add half cup water and gradually add more if required. Dough should be of a stiff consistency. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Knead and make small balls from the dough. Roll a small oblong puri and cut in a rectangle shape. Leaving 1/2 cm on both sides make about 8 to 10 slits. Fold it and press using a little water. Fold again and press again. Make a loop and stretch. See photos to make pan shape. Deep fry on low heat until light golden brown.
