  2. Prepare 1 small size cauliflower

  15. Take 1/4 cup garlic cloves

  18. Get 1 onion (finely chopped)
  19. Get 1 Lemon (cut it into quarter)
  20. Make ready 2 tsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

Potatoes, tomatoes, green peas all mashed together with spices and lemon and paired with buttery. Pav bhaji is a fast food dish from India consisting of a thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread roll. Vegetables in the curry may include potatoes, onions, carrots, chillies, peas, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Its origins are in the state of Maharashtra.

Steps to make Pav bhaji:
  1. Cut onion, cauliflower and potatoes into big pieces. Cook it in pressure cooker. Give 5-6 whistles. Once it is cool, mash it
  2. Chopped finely onion and tomato. Crush the garlic with onion.
  3. Take a pan add oil. Add jeera, cinnamon, cloves and bay leaf
  4. Add crushed garlic and onion. Cook it on low flame.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook it on low flame. Add all the masalas and cook till oil starts ozzing out
  6. Add mashed mixture of potatoes, cauliflower and Brinjal
  7. Add salt and 1/2 glass water. Mix it well. Cover it and cook it on low flame for another 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, butter and chopped onion.
  9. Serve hot with paav and slice of lemon. - (see recipe)

Variants of the dish may use other bread varieties such as chapati, roti or brown bread.. Pav Bhaji is a medley of mashed vegetables simmered in onion tomato gravy, special pav bhaji masala powder and lots of butter.
