- Prepare 1 tsp salt
- Make ready 1/4 tsp haldi
- Get 1.5 cups boiled chickpeas
- Prepare 1 cup water
- Prepare Cornflour as required
- Get Sooji halwa :
- Make ready 1/2 cup semolina
- Make ready 1/4 cup ghee
- Take 2 green cardamoms
- Prepare 1 cup sugar
- Get 1 cup water
- Get 1/4 tsp orange colour
- Make ready 1/4 tsp besan
- Prepare 1 tbsp desicated coconut
This traditional breakfast consists of a deep fried bread (poori), served with Halwa, chickpea curry (Choley), and potato curry (Aloo ki Tarkari). - Add cornflour to thicken the bhujiya
- For cholay fry cumin in oil.
- Then add spices and chickpeas and cook for 10 minutes
- Add water and let it cook until chickpeas are softer
- Add dissolved cornflour to thicken it.
- Prepare tarka by adding oil and kashmiri chilli together
- Pour over the chickpeas curry.
- Prepare sooji halwa. Melt ghee in a pot and add cardamoms
- Add sooji and cook for a minute
- Then add desicated coconut and besan.
- Prepare sheera by adding sugar and water and cook until sugar is dissolved
- Now add this sheera to the sooji pot
- Add food colouring and cook until sooji is tender and ghee separates
- Serve hot
- Prepare a platter by serving all quantities and enjoy
