The ingredients needed to make Guacamole:
  1. Get 2 avocados
  2. Get 1 large red onion
  3. Prepare 30 g coriander
  4. Take 2 red chillis
  5. Prepare 8 baby plum tomatoes

Make it chunky or smooth, according to taste. Once you start making your own guacamole you'll never buy it again! I have made this many many times but with a couple of changes. I don't put in the tomato but I do add extra garlic (at least one extra clove) and a good sized handful of chopped fresh coriander (makes a huge difference).

Steps to make Guacamole:
  1. Scoop the avocados out into a bowl and mash up with a fork.
  2. Finely chop the onion, coriander and chilli and add to the bowl. I use a mini chopper for this to get all the ingredients fine enough.
  3. Chop the tomatoes up really finely so they're almost pureed, add to the bowl and then mix all the ingredients in together.
  4. Squeeze in the juice of the lime and mix in. That's all, really lovely fresh tasting guacamole.

G uacamole is the Aztec for 'avocado' (guac) and 'sauce' (mole). The secret is to use ripe avocados, and masses of fresh coriander and lime. Season well and eat, knowing that it not only. In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic.
