  2. Prepare s&p

I'm a sucker for a good dip so whether we've got guests over or I'm just watching a game, I'll either have a beer. Place the chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and seasoning in the food processor and blitz until roughly chopped and combined. Gradually add the olive oil, a little at a time, until the hummus reaches a consistency of your liking. Spoon the hummus into a small serving bowl.

Steps to make Hummus and flat bread:
  1. Chickpeas in blender, s&p, lemon juice, yoghurt, garlic, tahini, cayenne pepper and whizz to smooth
  2. Flour in bowl, pinch salt, add water a little at a time and spoon mix til it comes together as a dough
  3. Roll out half dough (1 flat bread) little oil and put in hot griddle, couple of mins per side
  4. Serve hummus topped with chili, sprinkle of cayenne and glug of evoo. Add fresh thyme if you have any
  5. (Optional) add jarred red peppers to half the hummus and blend for a sweet pepper hummus dip
  6. Serve with bread, feta, tomato salad (chopped and seasoned with eco and herbs).

Flatbreads are lightly toasted until crisp and topped with smooth creamy hummus, sweet cherry tomatoes, dandelion greens and tart balsamic for a satisfying healthy meat-free meal. When cheese and I were still friends I used to love pizza. Transfer the toasted seeds to a pestle and mortar and lightly crush them. Spread the hummus on top of the pita bread. Add the red onion, diced tomato and feta cheese spreading evenly over the hummus.
