- Blanch the cut carrots and cauliflower florets and keep aside. Add some ghee or oil in a pan and add Cumin seeds to crackle
- Add the carrots, cauliflowers, salt, black pepper powder and Garam masala powder and saute for few minutes
- Add little water into this and add it to the vessel which has the rice and mix lightly
- Place a tawa on Gas in low flame and put the rice vessel on the tawa and cover it. Let it cook for 8-10 mins
- Remove the pulao and serve hot with raita or some fries
In this recipe, assortment of spices, veggies and rice are first sautéed in oil and ghee and then cooked in pressure cooker as you would cook plain rice. Pulao is a meal on its own.
