  2. Get 2 tbsp minced garlic

However, I turned this into a marinade for grilling vs. baking this in the oven. I left out the water and used Heinz chili sauce vs. ketchup for a little extra kick. I also added a tsp. of liquid smoke anad some minced garlic. I put everything into a ziploc bag and let it marinate overnight.

Instructions to make BBQ Chicken:
  1. Cook onion and garlic until soft, with olive oil in pan on med heat
  2. Meanwhile, in bowl combine all ingredients and stir
  3. In 13x9 baking dish place chicken skin side down and season with salt and pepper
  4. Add half of mixture on top of chicken
  5. At 400° cook uncovered for a half hour
  6. After half hour flip the chicken and add remaining sauce, cook another half hour!

The smell was downright heavenly on the grill and the taste was fabulous. Nothing beats sticky chicken with barbecue sauce. Start in the oven to make sure it's cooked properly, then grill over hot coals for that lovely BBQ flavour. Once your BBQ is prepared, thread your whole chicken onto the spit and secure it according to the manufacturer instructions. Start the rotisserie motor and cover the grill until the skin is brown and thigh juices run clear when pierced.
